As part of our ongoing efforts to improve, we are now shedding more light on our scoring system and methodology in order for users to better understand the brands operating in the gaming space as well as their trustworthiness, popularity, offers, features, and more.

With so much noise and marketing efforts directed towards players, it can be difficult to sift through the mess to find balanced and candid information. That’s why we score brands! To paint an honest picture of how well a brand really performs with users, backed by data.

Our Scoring Process

We have developed a rigorous scoring process for evaluating brands. This involves collaboration across multiple teams, thorough fact-checking, and regular updates to maintain reliability. Each brand is scored based on several criteria, with scores assigned to individual sections. These scores are standardized using a proprietary formula and then aggregated to provide a comprehensive overall score. Our scoring methodology takes multiple variables into consideration.

This process is made up of five steps and consists of:

Expert Review: Our on-staff gaming industry experts begin by registering with a brand (if they don’t already have an account), depositing funds, and claiming any available signup bonuses and promotions. They will then personally play games, place bets, withdrawal winnings, contact customer support, and explore any and every facet of the brand while assigning scores to core areas of interest.

Score Calculation: Following our expert review, our analytics team will calculate the actual brand score itself based on the expert assessment and a variety of web-based analytics parameters.

Writing Process: Once the data has been compiled and the score calculated, the editorial team will begin the fact checking process and then draft reviews and any other content related to the brand.

Publication: When the editorial review is finalized, the content is published on our platform and made available to users to use in their decision making process. 

Updates: In order to maintain an up-to-date assessment of all brands, our scoring process is continuously checked to reflect changes in the gaming industry, including user feedback.

Calculating the Score

Our scoring process ranks brands on a scale from 0-10 and is calculated using a composite formula that assesses three main pillars for every brand: Popularity, Brand Perception, and User Experience. 

Popularity

Our popularity score is calculated using a proprietary in-house analytics platform that analyzes and compares weekly click information on our websites for every brand listed on the page. Click information includes volume, total click share between brands, conversions, click-through rates, and more. Generally speaking, the more “popular” a brand is in comparison to the others listed, the higher the score. Note that we accept compensation from the brands, which may impact their position/location on our website and in some cases, may also affect their volume of clicks.  

Brand Perception

The Brand Perception score is based on an analysis of our website’s user behavior data including engagement metrics, quality actions such as registrations and first time deposits, page analytics, and more. These metrics all help paint a picture for each brand that assesses performance and credibility among users.

User Experience

User experience is a slightly more subjective rating, but is no less important as it assesses the important features that users genuinely care about. Information on UI/UX design, mobile app vs web availability, and features such as live games, support, payment methods, payout times, promotion selection and more are no less vital than click analytics when judging a brand. Each brand is assigned a score based on these features and benefits, which is calculated into the final score.
